Why we chose the Nidecker Trinity Snowboard Boots: A premium product with a pleasing pricepoint.

When riding, your boots are the part of your setup you’ll see the least. Nevertheless, from the carpark to the summit, they’re undoubtedly the part of your setup you’ll feel the most. Get them wrong, and you’ll feel every bump, turn and landing like your big toe is the epicentre of all human suffering; get them right, and there’s every chance it’s because you’re wearing a pair of Nidecker Trinity boots.

Despite coming in at a lower price point to much of the competition, there’s no reason why there won’t be as many seasoned riders stomping about in a pair of these as there will be first-time seasonaires.

Featuring a dual boa closure system, the Trinity boots allow you to fine-tune the fit and response between the upper and lower sections of the boot. You can crank up and lock your heel and ankle to the bottom of the liner within seconds, and then dial in the exact amount of support you want up top.

On the insides, Nidecker have opted for their bronze level thermo heat mouldable liner. This allows you to get the same customised fit around the heel and ankle as the more premium liners, without costly additions of a integrated lacing liner to the shell or a velcro top strap. Ultimately, though, the fit should remain snug where it matters most.

The comfort continues on the underside of the boots, too. The Trinity sit on top of Nidecker’s B.F.T Gravity outsole, which provides durable, grippy rubber around the edge. The focus here though is on all N-gel cushioning sat under your heel and the ball of your foot. Whether it’s walking up to the lift line or smashing slush ruts at the end of the season, the Trinity has all the dampening and cushioning to put proper spring in your step.

“Nidecker have cracked the Holy Trinity with these ones”

Nidecker have cracked the Holy Trinity with these ones – comfort, fit and response. And, as an added bonus, with a price point that should please almost every snowboarder out there.

Trade Secrets

Margaux de Mercurio – Line and Product Manager

“When we created the Trinity, our first goal was to offer the best value women’s Double Boa® boots (with clean looks inspired by everyday life, and made to be as comfortable as your favourite pair of sneakers straight out of the box). They have an asymmetrical, ergonomic design that gives you support exactly where you need it. Our new B.F.T. Gravity outsole to keep the weight down and of course the Boa system to make getting in and out of them as easy as possible.

In terms of looks, I tried to push a more feminine rather than girly style… we can do better than just ‘shrinking and pinking’ the guys’ stuff, For me, today’s fashion is already a really rich colour palette, so we went with two simple colourways to match a variety of clothes and boards. If that’s as important to you with snowboarding boots as it is with your favourite pair of Stan Smiths, or Air Force Ones, you’re in luck.”
