These signature Jess Kimura bindings have established quite a foothold in the female snowboard market. We might even dare to say that the Union Trilogy Bindings are on their way to reaching an “all pleasing – always reliable” status as solid as the Burton Lexa’s. No wonder though, everything from style, tech and comfort are on point with these beauties.

The Trilogy bindings are one of the strongest women’s bindings out there, they can take one hell of a beating. As is the case with their brother, the Union Force, the Trilogy’s are more or less indestructible. Union are so confident in them that they offer a lifetime warranty on the baseplates and heelcups.

The buckles are made out of magnesium, which not only makes them extremely durable and light but also slightly more sustainable than your average binding. Magnesium is one of the most recyclable metals on earth, so you’ll be flying down the slopes feeling slightly better about yourself than you did the day before whilst silently judging the rest of the lot riding anything less recyclable.

The Union Trilogy bindings are a favourite amongst many seasonaires due to their all-round ability and comfort. Their mid flex and top tapered highbacks ensure you can ride these all day, every day. The overpadded ankle straps, multi-density thermoformed EVA bushings and ultragrip toe strap, add additional comfort. New for this season is the secure-lock toe strap, which will make you feel even more confident than before when cruising down the piste.

Tester’s Verdict

Stella PenttiWhitelines

“A while back I began to realise that I was beginning to be surrounded by people in Union bindings, and as for girls, it was mainly the Trilogies that kept on flying by. Well now I’ve finally come to understand what brought this boom upon us – these bindings are ridiculously versatile and comfy.

“In fact, I reckon this is as comfy as it gets if you decide to ride down with two right foot bindings”

My first encounter with the Trilogy bindings wasn’t exactly ideal, as I was accidentally given two right foot bindings, which I only came to realise as I was about to strap in at the top of the mountain. Well, one needs to get down, so off I went, strapped into two right foot bindings, and honestly, it wasn’t as unpleasant an experience as you’d think. In fact, I reckon this is as comfy as it gets if you decide to ride down with two right foot bindings. The only thing that took a bit more of an effort than with a “normal” set up was making turns, but despite that, I’d say these rank quite high up when it comes to versatility.

The Union Trilogy bindings were super responsive, and the highbacks were just high enough to give the right amount of support. With the top of the highbacks being tapped it also added a good amount of comfort to your ride. The Union Trilogy’s are fun, comfy and without doubt, very versatile.”
