It’s a freestyle model, but one that’s definitely geared towards the more experienced end of the market. Both the highback and the chassis are very rigid, which is great for precise riding but at the expense of margin for error. If you don’t respect ‘em, you’ll pay.

In the right hands (or rather, on the right feet) the Rome Targa bindings are exceptional. They offer a responsive ride almost beyond equal, giving you confidence through the carves and when setting your edge for take-off. There’s also more than enough EVA padding under your boot to absorb any knuckled landings.
The ankle strap features Rome’s ‘PivotMount’ adjustment system, which lets you fine-tune how much support you have by re-positioning the placement of the ladder. On top of that, the strap itself offers three levels of flexibility, so you can get just the right balance of comfort and response.
You can use these to mix it up on smaller features, but the real purpose of the Rome Targa bindings is to help you step up to the high-consequence stuff. If you like, you can go full Ståle-tard and get the one in his RK1 crew colourway.
