The NOW IPO is your gateway binding into the world of Skate Tech. Coming in three colourways of white, black and grey, these ones offer all the functionality and comfort without all the bells and whistles or hefty price tag.

The IPOs (as with all NOW bindings) feature the brand’s patented ‘Skate-Tech’ design. In a nutshell, the chassis pivots around a central kingpin, meaning the hanger that supports your foot rocks a little as you shift your weight from one edge to another. The pressure is distributed into two rubber bushings on either side, with the goal of reducing the chatter that can cause foot pain, but also delivering immediate and efficient response.

“It’s a strap in and go option for just about any ability of rider”

This year, the IPO has switched over to the 2.0 Hanger, which offers up a little extra room in the footbed. So, good news for riders who’ve been squeezing into a size too small and washing around in the one up.

The straps are lightweight and among the more minimal designs, but that’s not really what you pay for here – even in the top-end models. NOW’s are designed to eliminate the reliance on cranking up and leveraging the straps into every turn, the Skate Tech does most of the legwork.

It’s a strap in and go option for just about any ability of rider. There’s no need to limit yourself to any area of the mountain either as these will happily have a crack at just about anything.

Tester’s Verdict

James Blogg Ultimate Snowsports

“Loved these bindings. Light, responsive and with a nice simple minimal look thrown in they really perform well as a do it all binding.

The tech on the NOW bindings is meant to allow for a looser more skatey kind of feel, and whilst I’m not convinced it’s anything revolutionary it works well and feels precise but not too aggressive.

“The straps are really comfortable which I was almost surprised by as they are not the biggest or most padded”

The straps are really comfortable which I was almost surprised by as they are not the biggest or most padded. One small thing I found was that the hinge on the toe strap did keep pivoting which caused the strap to slip sometimes. Maybe it was just me!

If you want a good versatile binding that looks cool and is priced well then these are definitely well up there for me.”
