The Nidecker Team snowboard bindings are what you’d call an all-mountain pleaser. They’ve got the minerals to graft over the whole mountain, giving you a good amount of response and control without sacrificing on comfort.

With a uniquely engineered baseplate, the energy from your feet will be transferred directly to the board without you having to worry about losing the natural feel for it. The baseplate is shaped to increase the lateral flex while still providing impeccable support. You can shred around strapped into these all day without feeling like you’re strapped into clunky bindings.

The asymmetric highbacks are designed to be mirror the natural shape of your legs, resulting in both comfort and control. We all know what uncomfortable highbacks can do to our riding, so get yourself a pair that can actually enhance your ride instead of diminishing it.

Making these things even more comfortable, are the N-Strap ankle straps. Not only are they perfectly adjustable to your boot, they also absorb shock impacts – resulting in a smoother ride.

All in all, the Nidecker Team bindings are a solid choice for riders out there who are looking to shred anything and everything.

Tester’s Verdict

Rob McCreathWhitelines

“Truth be told, I wasn’t chomping at the bit to ride these ones, but whatever low expectations I’d set for the Nidecker Team bindings were easily surpassed and left me wishing I’d had a pair of bindings like this during my first few seasons snowboarding.

They’re not particularly striking to look at, but equally, they’d go well on just about any board out there. Not just in terms of the aesthetic, but their performance.

It’s a straight-up, down the middle flex-pattern, from heel to toe and end to end. Not, as the catalogue tells you, somewhere in the region of an 8 or 9 out of 10. It never felt overly aggressive and occasionally left me wishing for a little more when I was riding on full charge, but it still delivered enough life when I started ducking in and out of pistes, looking for sidehits, and putting them through a bit of abuse.

“Nidecker makes some of the most affordable beginner and intermediate level equipment on the market. The Team exemplifies this perfectly.”

The straps are super comfy. You’d happily take that heel strap away with you as your camping pillow, and the toe strap never worked its way loose – which, for me anyway, happens more often than you’d think, even on the more premium models. The buckles don’t feel particularly premium; neither does the cost mind you, so that’s a trade-off I’d be happy to make.

Nidecker makes some of the most affordable beginner and intermediate level equipment on the market. The Team exemplifies this perfectly. All the simple things done well, and all of the unnecessary complications left out. A good job well done!”
