Nidecker’s award winning flagship binding, the Carbon. These hulk-like carbon pieces can take anything thrown their way, while keeping you comfortably strapped in. The Nidecker Carbon’s are light and pleasant on the feet, while also being strong and super responsive. Stop it Nidecker. You’re spoiling us.

As the name implies, the highbacks of the Carbons are 100% made out of carbon, making these things very stiff and responsive. Add the ergonomical asymmetrical design to the mix, and your feet will be thanking you throughout the season. The baseplates of the bindings are exclusive to the Nidecker Carbon bindings. This specific blend of materials, make for a clear-cut and well though out binding – giving you the chance to take your riding further.

Another exclusive to these Nidecker bindings is the Carbon Hyperfuse ankle straps, developed by none other than guys at NOW. This stitch-less, spineless and seamless strap brings the highest level of precision and energy transfer to your turns, while still being extremely comfortable.

If legendary snowboard cross athlete Pierre Vaultier can go all Super Mario Bros on a pump track when strapped into these, you know the Nidecker Carbon bindings are as tough as they claim to be. The Carbon’s are aimed at advanced riders who are looking for a partner in crime – someone who won’t let them down, even when things get gnarly.

Tester’s Verdict

Rhys JonesTDC Snowboarding

“Tidy binding from Nidecker. They were black and quite chunky looking with a sort of space age feel to them. Modern minimalist graphics which I like. Not quite as light-weight a feel to them as I expected, what with them being a carbon binding. They felt super solid and quite stiff.

“Highback was pretty stiff and responsive, really good for hard fast riding”

Easy to install on my board. Pretty smooth buckle and ratchet system. Solid around my boot. Ankle strap felt super sturdy. Not really enough padding for me. Felt these were lacking a bit from a comfort point of view, they would probably give a little over time but these made my feet ache.

Highback was pretty stiff and responsive, really good for hard fast riding. Micro adjustments were easy to make and pretty standard. Simple, no fuss design. Riding on hard pack snow they were solid and gave the high performance you would expect from a stiffer binding.

Would recommend to the more intermediate/advanced rider looking for something really solid and stable for high speed carving and charging. ”
