Burton AK Incline 20L 2019-2020 Snowboard Backpack Review

  • CAPACITY: 20 Litres
  • PRICE: £160 / €180

Why we chose the Burton AK Incline 20L Snowboard Backpack: It’s an AK backcountry backpack built to last.

Burton’s AK range is known to produce high quality products that last more or less a lifetime, and this AK Incline Backpack is no different to the rest of the line. Whether you’ll be facing hardcore wind, heavy snowfall or arm-wrestling a polar bear, this thing will make it through in one piece… even if you don’t.

This magnificent backpack is made for splitboarding, and once we’ve finished listing all the tech that’s gone into producing it you will understand why. First off the bat, it’s an AK (meaning it’s got the best tech that Burton’s got to offer). Everything is top notch here, and it’s about as lightweight as a backpack made for its purpose could be.

“First of the bat, it’s an AK (meaning it’s got the best tech Burton’s got to offer)”

Everyone loves pockets, and Burton’s made sure this thing has plenty of them. You’ve got a pocket for a shovel, a probe, and a beacon. There’s also a built-in helmet carrier with attachment loops, and a fleece-lined goggle pocket to protect your eyewear from scratching. As if that wasn’t enough, Burton’s also added an attachment feature for ice tools and poles, a pocket for your water bottle, and straps for you to be able to attach your board vertically to the back of the pack.

Not only is this thing filled with tech, it’s also made to be ridiculously comfortable – making the hikes up way morepleasant. The Burton AK Incline Backpack’s got shoulder straps that are ergonomically breathable, compression straps with integrated tool carry, and an adjustable sternum strap.

“You can also tweak the size of this thing, thanks to the adjustable back panel”

You can also tweak the size of this thing, thanks to the adjustable back panel. However, if the size of the pack itself isn’t quite right for whatever mission you’re aiming to tackle… this thing comes in two bigger sizes too – 30L and 40L.

If you’re looking for an everyday backpack, we recommend you have a look at Burton’s Skyward backpack since this thing might be a bit too spenny for someone who isn’t going to use it in the right way.
