The Details:

More than a decade down, the K2 World Wide Weapon (also known as the K2 WWW) remains an important part of their lineup. It’s essentially unchanged after the overhaul it received last year, and we can’t fault the latest graphic – in fact, we’re tempted to buy two so that we can lay the base and topsheet up together.

As you can probably guess from the medium flex and smaller size range, this isn’t for boosting 15 feet out of a halfpipe while you feel your heartbeat in your ears. Instead it’s a full-on jibstick, ideal for park features and side hits where fun is the order of the day.

K2’s ‘Tweekend’ tip and tail shapes, which gradually bend up toward the extremities, are great in powder but even better for presses. If you’re using the WWW in the right way, you should be able to hold that nosepress until you run out of rail.

It’s not the techiest board, with a pure-wood core and biax glass, but none of that matters once you get to grips with its stable, predictable ride.

It keeps the cost down too – as does the extruded base that might not be the quickest, but certainly isn’t sluggish and is just the thing for repeated rail, box and ledge abuse.
