WEST Snowboarding came to life in the Swiss Alps, the brainchild of four passionate riders who wanted to make boards that they believed in. Inspired by the mountains and united by a common vision they started manufacturing premium snowboards. David Lambert is one of the co-founders and CEO of WEST Snowboarding, a former artist and keen snowboarder he’s constantly striving for innovation within his product line. Now in their sixth season, WEST have expanded their line again, and are pushing for more sustainable manufacturing methods including FSC certified wood cores and water-based inks. Props!
Ryosuke Horii aka DAYZE is a Japanese artist, skater and snowboarder and this season he’s teamed up with WEST to release two super rad artist edition snowboards. DAYZE has been making clothing for his homies since he was 19 and now sports a pretty impressive resumé with ties to the Beyond Medals crew, Joe Sexton’s 1817, and GNARLY clothes.
The pair teamed up through DAYZE’s brother Yusaku who was chilling in Switzerland with Max Buri, a former WEST team rider. David then hung out and partied with Yusaku in Japan and the rest was history.
