They say: An amazing board to ride for throwing down.
We say: With a reasonably aggressive sidecut and a stiffish flex, this board is designed for freestyle riders who like to go big. At the same time, its blunt nose and tail mean it’s OK on jibs as well. Well-suited to Mammoth local Gabe Taylor then.
Tester says: Top quality construction and feel and at that price they’re virtually giving them away!

About Artec
- Building boards since: 2004
- HQ: Begunje, Slovenia
- History lesson: The Artec project started off as an art-focused sub-brand of Elan Snowboards, allowing shredders to submit their own designs and have them printed on specially made boards. The idea was so successful that Artec set up as its own entity shortly afterwards. The company grew quickly, signing up an international team which includes several of the Think Thank crew, like Gus Engle and Nima Jalali.
- Ridden by: The kind of achingly cool tight-trousered jib kid who snakes you onto a rail, and then melts your mind with his talk of pretzels, danishes and 270 hardways on at the end of the session.
