A true European pioneer, Steve Gruber continues to channel his legendary status in a new video edit from K2. As RZA is to Wu-Tang, Gruber is to the Ästhetiker crew. Carving out a name for himself and the iconic 90’s snowboard posse in the beautiful Zillertal Valley in Austria, Gruber returns to his old stomping ground for a fix of park and pow. The video echoes Ästhetiker’s core values perfectly. Not about competition and contests, but, “the beauty of the move, the style.”

Partnered with a lo-fi garage rock soundtrack, the edit shows Gruber in his element, relishing the creativity offered by the fresh Austrian powder and the well trodden park lines. The video may attempt to roll back the years with its home video cuts and grunge rock sounds, but Steve Gruber proves that his snowboarding skills have aged like fine wine. There’s no need to be nostalgic when the present is this good.
