Steve Gruber is one of the godfathers of European snowboarding, a guy who championed the ‘golden era’ of snowboarding on the continent. A card-carrying member of one of the OG snowboard posses-the Ästhetiker crew, Gruber found success in early contests and picked up a handful of lucrative sponsorship deals. Filming with the big dogs for Absinthe took him to far flung corners of the world and cemented his love of riding in the backcountry.

Over 20 years in the scene and Grubalibre is still coming in hot and showing that he’s well and truly still got it. Hiking lines and paying visits to the white room are Monsieur Gruber’s M.O and he pours his decades of experience into getting the perfect shots. In true Zillertal style, you won’t see any quad corks or triple rodeos, but you’ll be treated to an abundance of lofty back 1’s, rooster tails and smooth as sin pow slashes.
