So in case you haven’t been following it, this week is a fairly important one in terms of the GB Freestyle Team’s Olympic ambitions. The first of the FIS World Cup events that are acting as qualifiers for the 2014 Sochi Olympics is taking place at Copper Mountain in Colorado. The British team (including Jamie Nicholls, Aimee Fuller, Ben Kilner, Dom Harington, Jenny Jones, Sam Turnbull, Nate Kern and Billy Morgan) have been training out in the Rockies for a while, getting ready to kick start their campaign. With the first round of qualifiers for slopestyle late yesterday (because of the time difference) and pipe today, most of the crew are in action at some stage.
Billy came through to finish second in his heat with the frickin’ sick run you can see above, before posting this stoked sounding tweet. How’s that for a kicker combo – BS Rodeo, cab 9 double cork to backside double cork 12. Hell yes Mr Morgan!
Stoked i got 2nd in my heat with a 91.3 through to finals, thanks everyone for the support! vid on facebook instagr.am/p/UR6atkEnEp/

We’ll be keeping you posted on the rest of the team’s progress as we hear more.
