Last summer we were lucky enough to head over the pond with the UK Vans snow team and sample all the delights of Mt Hood. Due to extenuating circumstances (aka the team’s massive lunch box full of chronic) we ended up whiling many an hour away in the Timberline car park (which serves both HCSC and Windells).
Whilst we got our fair share of car park skating in – namely slaloming traffic cones and watching Sparrow Knox do his best Mark Gonzales impression – we found none of the mystical flatground energy from the tarmaced Indian burial ground that Scott Stevens, Mike Rav and Yusaku Horii conjoured up. Sublime.
