We’ve all dreamed of riding powder under floodlights in Japan, but these guys took things a step further. Nick Pooch, Billy Garcia and Ben Birk grabbed some head torches and a couple of sleds and headed out into the Tahoe backcountry in the middle of the night.
With the snow steadily falling, it made for some memorable laps – long before the masses crawled out of bed for first lifts! Camera nerds might be interested to learn that this was all shot on the Sony A7S, which has a reputation for incredible low light performance and enabled them to capture the action as the clock ticked towards 5am. Late April edits don’t come much cooler than this…
