After last year’s raging success, Girls Are Awesome are back with a second round of Slay Days. After exploring what Flachauwinkl’s Absolut Park had to offer, the crew decided it was time to switch things up and see what’s up in Patscherkofel, Innsbruck: From the 27th February to the 1st March, Slay Days are taking over Snowpark Patscherkofel.
“The main idea of the event is to promote female riding and encourage ladies to hit the park”
If you missed out on last year’s event, here’s a little brief introduction to what to expect. The main idea of the event is to promote female riding and encourage ladies to hit the park. This four-day bonanza is presented by our favourite purpose-driven brand, Girls Are Awesome. It’s a mash-up of freestyle coaching sessions, yoga, art, skateboarding, music, parties and high-quality convos with rad chicks from different backgrounds who are all brought together by snowboarding.
A coaching crew that’s stacked with Blue Tomato team riders will help you get comfortable in the park throughout the event and a special Nikita sponsored coaching session will be hosted by the local girl gang Shred Unit. On top of that, you’ll also be given the chance to try out the Burton Step On bindings.
Not only has the crew made sure to organise one hell of a time up the mountain, but Girls Are Awesome is also hosting three talks and partnering up with Women in Boardsports for a special evening event: Alba Pardo from WIB and SBES Magazine is hosting a panel together with Valeria Kechician (founder of @longboardgirlscrew) and our favourite UK POW ambassador Lauren MacCullum.
