Aimee Fuller had a solid day last Friday when she claimed seventh place in the women’s slopestyle final at the Dew Tour 2013.
She cleared her way into the finals after scoring a sweet 64.60 in the qualifiers, beating the likes of Cheryl Maas and Christy Prior. It’s the first time the Brit girl has made it into the Dew Tour finals after she bashed her shoulder up in the qualis last year.
In her first run, she bossed a cab underflip and backflip followed by another backflip to back 3. The second run wasn’t quite so successful – cab underflip, front 3 and backflip to back 7 – but a slightly messy landing scuppered chances of a higher score. However, her score of 53.80 was more than enough to land her an awesome 7th place overall.
As she says on her recent blog post, the course left her exhausted but it was “the most fun slope course I have been on!”
I can honestly say that is the most fun slope course I have been on!

Jamie Anderson stormed her way to first place with a cool 96.00, landing a cab 7, frontside 3 and banging backside 5 on her second run. Enni Rukajarvi was not far behind with 89.40 followed by Silje Norendal in third place with 84.60. Jamie has earned herself some valuable points in this event, as the first US Olympic qualifiers of the season.
Copper Mountain is up next later this week. The FIS event is the penultimate official Olympic qualifier, so Aimee will need to keep up the good work to see herself through to Sochi in February.
