The American rider out of Bend, Oregon is no stranger to style and amplitude – especially in combination – and perhaps unsurprisingly he seems to be on the up-and-up at the moment. A serious comp contender without the attitude – you may have seen him taking top spot at the first Red Bull Double-Pipe Doubles with brother Gabe, battering the park on a swallowtail or even pushing out into the Alaskan backcountry with Pat Moore and Blueprint.

Any one of those should leave you safe in the knowledge that Ben’s got the chops to keep floating big hits for many years to come, so you’d be well advised to watch this space. We hear he’s keen to get an Olympic trip under his belt, but that’s by no means going to be the be all and end all for his snowboarding career; here’s a rider with all the bowstrings he could ever want or need.
