Project Friday returned to Braehead Snow Factor on Friday night, and from the park plan we knew that this wasn’t to be just any normal dome session. What began as a few scribbles on paper had become one of the most ambitious setups we’ve seen. Where did they get inspiration from? Who knows, but we’re sure any resemblance to an upcoming international competition – one that employs a platoon of lawyers to protect its brand – is purely coincidental…
Sadly the Coloured Circles of Intercontinental Sporting Excellence seen above were eventually (and perhaps inevitably) taken out. However, the rest of the course was top drawer; C-box, up-rail, kicker and corrugated pipe stall feature, not to mention the ‘stunt slalom’ at the top of the slope.
John Holmes eventually scooped the overall prize, earning himself a nice line of credit with Salomon and Bonfire, and everyone walked away stoked on how the night had gone.
Project Friday will return to Braehead every month, so keep ’em peeled for the next event. Can they top this one?
