Hot the heels of his new sponsorship deals with Home watches and Contour headcams, here comes yet another new hook-up for Travis Rice. What, did he just sign a new agent or something? This time it’s the announcement that Travis has signed for Union Bindings. Not so surprising this one, given that for the past few seasons he’s been quietly riding Burton bindings on his Lib Tech pro model and not getting a cent. Union take the Order of the Brown Nose prize, however, for their description of the big man as “one of the most pivotal riders in existence.” If it wasn’t for the word ‘rider’ in there we’d think they were talking about some fundamental new discovery at the Large Hadron Collider. Still, can’t blame ’em for being stoked at pulling this one off.
