The Relentless Energy Visualiser is a newly implemented custom developed software application that uses the latest data visualisation technology. It takes an audio input and converts it into stunning visuals that are controlled and modified in real-time.

With two different versions, the REV has been created to enhance Relentless’ activity in Music and is truly unique as a brand-led experience. The live music version takes a feed from a microphone or a sound desk and reacts to what the band are performing on stage via venue screens, enhancing the audiences experience. The second version, available on i-Tunes to Mac and PC users, can be played over playlists as to bring a dynamic, visual experience to the listener.

The initial aim was to create a previously unachieved, real-time, three dimensional, music responsive living artwork that was a representation of ‘Relentless Energy’.

After a ‘What if?’ conversation, Erasmus who are Relentless creative agency, worked with the digital artists and leading exponents of data visualisation, Robert Hodgin and Andrew Bell of the Barbarian Group out of San Francisco, to push the technology and creative vision to the limit over a challenging three month project.

This is merely the beginning for the REV. Supporting the Relentless ethos of pushing Artistry to its limits, the REV will continue to be developed and delivered in new forms staying at the edge of possibility.
