Norwegian superstar Mikkel Bang is the latest addition to the Nike 6.0 snowboard team, joinging the likes of Mason Aguirre, Kevin Pearce and Peetu Piiroinen at the top level of the brand’s international roster. Having been a fixture on the world snowboard scene since he got his first sponsorship deal with Burton at the age of 13, the original super-grom has now grown to the towering height of 6 foot 2 inches. The one thing that hasn’t changed is Mikkel’s talent, which has seen him win several accolades this year, including best trick at the Stylewars contest in Australia over the summer.
Unfortunately, over this weekend, Mikkel busted his ankle whilst warming up for the legendary Air & Style contest in Innsbruck. Thankfully, the injury was not too serious, and although Mikkel spent the weekend hobbling around on crutches, he hopes to be back on the snow before too long. Nike will be waiting for him when he does get back on his board.
