The 10 Snowiest Resorts This Winter

WHO HAD THE MOST SNOW IN 2013/14?

No matter where you’re going to shred, whether it’s for a week or a season, with a dedicated crew or your family, there’s always one question that trumps the rest: will there be any snow?

Yup, never mind how many bars the resort has or how much a lift pass costs, the most important information you’ll want to know is will there actually be any snow to shred?

Of course it’s near impossible to predict more than a week in advance, but one of the best ways to try and figure it out is to look at the snowfall for the year before. Luckily for you, we’ve compiled a top ten of the snowiest resorts in the world for you to check out before heading off next winter. Thank us later.

Important! It’s notoriously difficult to get reliable info on exactly how much snowfall each resort receives as some are prone to inflating their stats. Having said that, the resort with the most snow fallen won’t always have the deepest powder due to ground temperatures, wind etc. Plus, everyone knows that if it’s powder what you want, Japan and Alaska would win hands down every time.

The most universally reliable comparison is end of season snow depth which is what we’ve used here, compiled at the end of April as we felt that was a fair time to compare resorts. You’ve been told!
