Yeesh, if ever there was an example of how not to tackle the backcountry, here it is. One snowboarder in a group of three loses control whilst descending a backcountry shoot in less than perfect conditions, goes into a face-first slide and narrowly avoids ruining himself and his companions.
We are assured that the rider in question escaped only with a couple of cuts to his arms, so alls well that ends well, but it should serve as a warning to those venturing out of bounds before they’ve acquired a competent level of skill.
Plus, it means you are aloud to giggle just a little bit 48 seconds in when he manages to get to his feet, before falling over and starting all over again.
