After the HD success of last year’s Distorted Reality – featuring WL‘s undisputed video part of the year – Pirates have teamed up with Red Bull Media House to bring you a sumptuous, 4K display of some of the worlds best snowboarders: Gigi Ruf, Elias Elhardt, Marco Feichtner, Kalle Ohlson, Sami Luhtanen, Manuel Diaz, Wojtek Pawlusiak, Fredrik Evensen and Maxim Balakhovskiy.

Not only does both the riding and filming look unreal – tune Youtube to 2160p for the best results – the fact that this was even made in the first place should give some hope to the snowboard industry: if enough love, thought and effort goes into a project the ‘traditional’ snowboard movie template can still work. This isn’t an Art of Flight carbon copy, though the visuals are arguably as stunning – this is a fully fledged shred flick with proper individual parts. And a European one at that.
