High Cascade is here again for their Session 5, your midweek fix of what’s happening on the West side of Mt Hood.
The usual suspects – Hood rats if you will – are here as always, veterans of the summer slush that permeates every cotton thread on your back. Christian Hobush, Christian Sparks, Max Warbington, Red Gerard, Alex Lopez, Scott Blum and Ben Ferguson are all still sliding the strips of snow still present in amongst the summer dirt and dust. Volcanoes are pretty hot after all.
It’s the usual top level jib fest that HCSC have put on once again this summer, but the absolute stand out this week has to be Spencer Schubert. Seriously, his lanky frame is so twisty it’s almost as if his legs and top half actually belong to different people. Like a panto horse, on a snowboard. We heard he can make a pretty good Cobra Dog too, what a boss.
