Innovative youth charity Snow-Camp have announced Britain’s Olympic bronze medalist Jenny Jones as a brand new patron, joining the likes of Graham Bell, Ed Leigh, Chemmy Alcott and Warren Smith, who all play a vital role in the ongoing success of the charity.

Having started in 2003, Snow-Camp gives support to Britain’s inner-city youth and provides them with skiing, snowboarding and life-skills classes, all with the aim of enhancing their chance of success in the winter sports industry later in life (check out a bit more about them here).

In it’s 11 year history, the charity has changed the lives of over 2500 children across 16 of London’s boroughs and the great news is they are now looking to expand.

The inclusion of Jenny as a patron is huge news not only for the charity, but also for snowboarding. We all know the real winner of the Sochi Olympics was snowboarding and Jenny is in the perfect position to share her passion and inspire the next generation.

“I have been a supporter of Snow-Camp for a number of years, and have enjoyed seeing the charity develop and expand its fantastic work. As a snowboarder I love the way Snow-Camp uses my sport to support young people who wouldn’t ever get the chance to get involved in snowsports – and beyond that, to enable them to get qualifications and access to employment in the snowsports industry”.

Jenny said she was “stoked to be coming onboard as a patron in this key time in the charities life…I hope I can play a positive role in this next phase, as I am committed to seeing positive opportunities for young people in snowsports, especially after snowboarding was given such a great platform at the recent Winter Olympics”.

The charity has done some fantastic work over the last few years and the addition of Jenny to an already stellar cast will only help to boost that in the years to come.
