Summer, for the die-hard shredder it can be pretty painful. Endless months with just the faint remembrance of that last slushy turn to keep you going until November rolls back around and you can start unpacking your kit again.
Unless you’re from Oregon (Oregonian) of course, then it’s a simple matter of getting yourself up the glacier on Mt Hood and you’ll be shredding with a veritable who’s who of creative park riders.
The soft summer snow seems to give rail riders mystical powers to attempt crazy new twisty-turny upside-downy stunts, like Denis Leontyev‘s 540, Lucas Magoon‘s front one nose grab firecracker, Justin Fronius‘ back seven cross rocket and Ozzy Henning‘s miller flip quarter pipe transfer over a tamed pipe dragon.
Just watch this ‘best of 2013’ edit from Windells to see what we mean. Crazy stuff, and this summer it’ll only get crazier still, especially now as Winddells have merged with rivals camp High Cascade to form ‘We Are Camp’ (nope, we’re not kidding). Predictions on a post card for what’s gonna get thrown down?
