Weston Snowboards are a brand we’ve long been fans of here at Whitelines. They consistently produce high-quality boards, thoughtfully shaped for their own brand of backcountry destruction (check out this year’s award-winning Gnarnia, for example).
As a company, they’ve made a clear effort since day one to stick to their core values — supporting grass roots community events, championing safe (but fun-forward) backcountry exploration, and backing a wide range of ambassadors and up-and-comers who reflect that ethos.
Now, nearly 15 years into that journey, they’re taking the next step — building out a more defined core team of high-calibre riders to represent the brand on a bigger stage.
First to join the fold is Seth Hill — a professional snowboarder, filmmaker and creative based in Evergreen, Colorado. With a career spanning more than a decade, Seth has competed at the highest level, stacked up award-winning video parts, and evolved into a respected voice in modern snowboarding.
These days, his focus sits firmly on freestyle expression in the backcountry — from sled-accessed zones to hand-built booters — while playing a key role in the Flow State crew’s independent film projects.
Leo Tsuo, Weston’s founder, on “why Seth, why now”:
“Weston has had X Games and Olympic-level riders before, but they moved on when the next offer came along. It’s awesome to have Seth on the team because he truly believes in and lives Weston’s values — especially community. He’s always elevating those around him, and it’s an honour to have him represent the W.”
We’re excited to see the impact Seth has on Weston, and how the team continues to evolve from here.
