Back in 2008, the three co-founders of Picture Organic Clothing, Julien, Jérémy, and Vincent, followed through with their idea of launching a truly environmentally and socially responsible clothing brand. Since then, the brand has been on a mission to make technical mountainwear that is mindful of the planet on which we play on, while still keeping their pricing in check for the average punter.
The three co-founders had different backgrounds, but were united by a passion for the mountains and a commitment to producing clothing and outerwear that would minimise impact on the environment. They enjoyed rapid success thanks to their sustainable production and bold designs. Representing the brand, the Picture team is made up from various people from different backgrounds; snowboarders, skiers, surfers, explorers, adventurers, photographers, videomakers, navigators, artists, activists and environmentalists. The team features legends like Elias Elhardt, Janne Lipsanen, and Erika Vikander.
The company’s new headquarters are 100% powered by low carbon energies, and also benefit from rainwater harvesting, green roof and electric charging stations.
A decade and a bit since the start, Picture is still marching on down the same path to success. The boldness with which they’ve made their name sure ain’t going anywhere, and you can mix and match pretty much the whole line with its variety of block colours and patterns.
