Under that fresh as fuck lick of paint on the topsheet (honestly, the Stale collection has to be hands down some of the best looking boards this season) you’ll find some impact plates to take the sting out of slappy landings and dampen out chatter when your blasting through any crud.

The PopCore alternates 20mm strips of Poplar and Paulownia wood for a durable and reactive core that can take on anything the mountain throws at it. Milled through this core are two Carbon HotRods that sit in the nose and tail respectively. These help to add a little more pop to the board without making it overly stiff so that you can still get your press on.

In terms of flex you’re looking at a 6 out of 10, so it’s definitely a responsive board but you can still crank a nice big press if you want to. The Biax & Triax fibreglass that sandwich the PopCore help here by controlling the torsional flex in such a way that you still get a snappy, playful feel when you’re trying to get airborne, but there is enough flex left that you can get uber playful on the ground too.
