While Travis & co make us wait, here’s a different approach from Devun Walsh and Iikka Backstrom. ‘Polar Opposites’ follows the two DC stalwarts as they release a continuous stream of short edits, and Episode 1 has just dropped. The first taste sees Devun and Iikka doing what they do best: big, burly backcountry freestyle, with the odd cameo (Eeero Niemela, Jonas Guinn) thrown in for good measure.

We can’t wait to see more from this Finn-Canuck connection. Although we don’t get the title: what’s so opposite about two legendary shredders who call the same mountain home, are on the same team, and ride BC pillows like they were born waist-deep in pow? Whatever, these guys make a great pairing, and the last shot of them cruising down while Devun narrates is a beauty.
