This is the fleece you will want to replace all your old smelly mid-layer cotton hoodies with. Fleece is breathable and a good option for a mid-layer whilst cotton, sadly, is not (sorry, cotton). The Quiksilver Soul Power Fleece is part of a new mid-layer era in that it ‘breathes’ and looks rad.

The material absorbs very little moisture and wicks moisture very efficiently to the outside where it can either evaporate or move on to the next layer. Not only does the Soul Power fleece provide extremely good breathability, but it also offers supreme warmth as well. It’s also way more affordable than many of the more technical mid-layers out there. The only downfall with fleece, if it’s not made out of recycled plastic, is that it is essentially made out of plastic – a material we should be producing less of as it can take up to 1000 years for plastic to decompose in landfills.

As for features, the half zip here makes getting in and out of the fleece easier. There are also zipped pockets on the sides where you can either warm your hands or store whatever snacks you want.
