The Lib Tech DynaSword is a brand-new model for 2020/21, pushing boundaries and redefining what’s to be expected from a youth snowboard. Freeride focused the DynaSword will be an awesome companion for forays into the backcountry and exploration beyond the piste.

This isn’t a board for first timers, the stiff flex and aggressive nature make it an unsuitable companion for falling leaf on the bunny hill, but if your mini me is a certified ripper then look no further.

“An Aspen/Paulownia core with Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax laminates offer a responsive and lightweight ride with bags of life in it”

Unlike some kid’s boards, the DynaSword isn’t just a plastic snowboard with a colourful picture slapped on top of it, Lib Tech have used the same materials they use in their adult line up. An Aspen/Paulownia core with Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax laminates offer a responsive and lightweight ride with bags of life in it.

Built for deep snow missions the subtle 2mm taper increases the surface area in the nose of the board helping to keep it afloat. The one-inch setback keeps their weight settled over the tail, pushing it down and freeing up the nose to keep it above the snowpack. The shorter tail is more manoeuvrable making it easier to slash and spray all the way down the hill.

“Minimal rocker in the centre of the board eases it up a little and give a bit of extra float when you’re staring down the fall line”

The powerful positive cambers underfoot extend out to the contact points and create a lively and dynamic ride. Minimal rocker in the centre of the board eases it up a little and give a bit of extra float when you’re staring down the fall line, it also helps to engage the edge in the middle when you’re flat basing.

No one likes skidding down an icy piste or slipping out through turns, so Lib have kitted out the DynaSword with their Magne-Traction edge profile. Adding bumps down the sides of the board to help it bite more and hold through the whole arc of the turn.

If you think your little shredder is the next Travis Rice then the Lib Tech DynaSword will be a great weapon for them to progress all the way up to the top.
