We can all agree that protection and peripheral vision is what really matters in a pair of goggles, but it’s so damn hard to look past a good lens tint or a signature colourway. Thankfully, Dragon places equal importance on all of these. Since starting out of Will Howard’s garage in 1993, in Capo Beach, CA, Dragon has been committed to functional, stylish eyewear, encompassing its founder’s passions for surfing, snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. Fast forward to 2020 and Dragon’s core values remain true to the early days, but with the added boost of some of the industry’s leading technology and a crack-team of riders to back them.
Dragon pioneered the first frameless design back in 2011 and have since continued to develop some of the fastest lens changing systems on the market. For the 2020/21 season, Dragon is bringing two new models to their premium line – the PXV2 and RVX OTG goggles.

An evolution of the immensely popular PXV, the 2 utilises their Panotech toric lens for a massive 220° of peripheral vision along with the added benefit of the Swiftlock lens change technology. Think of this as the best of everything Dragon has to offer so far – vision, style, functionality and a slightly downsized fit for increased compatibility with different head and helmet sizes.
The RVX OTG sees an exciting new direction for Dragon. Designed with the new Swiftlock 2.0 lens changing system, a sharper, more modern look and a cylindrical lens with OTG compatibility, these newcomers should appeal to as wide a spectrum of riders as the peripheral vision they offer.
Many of Dragon’s riding family, including the likes of Bryan Iguchi, Danny Davis, and Forest Bailey make a return for both the Signature Series and artist collab models. Scoph lends his aesthetic to a limited colourway for the X2, while 686 have partnered to produce a limited collab colourway in the PXV and X2s models.
