It’s only been three years since Bent Metal were resurrected back from the dead and we’ve gotta say they’ve done a very impressive job since returning back to the land of the living. By introducing two new bindings for this season, the ladies Metta and the men’s Cor-Pro, Bent Metal are expanding their horizons even further.

The Cor-Pro is here to please the more freeride friendly rippers. This is the second stiffest binding Bent Metal has put out there for the rest of us to enjoy.

“The Cor-Pro’s aren’t here only to please the freeride crowd”

Thanks to the magnesium and carbon fibre used for the construction of the top sheet the Cor-Pro’s aren’t here only to please the freeride crowd. The material used, combined with the nylon highbacks, make an ideal combination for an all-round binding too. Add the classic Nick Russian Mervin design to these badboys and you’ve got yourself a solid pair of bindings that will make you feel as rad in the deep as they do in the steep.

If you’re one to prefer a stiff flex, but want a binding that you can easily charge through both park and powder with too, then the Bent Metal Cor-Pro is definitely worthy of consideration.

Tester’s Verdict

Mike BrindleyWhitelines

“Being a big fan of the Transfer and Joints, I wasn’t surprised to enjoy the Cor-Pro. Bent Metal have really stepped it up over the last couple of years, everything is dialled, durable and works to a T.

I’m big into the medium-to-stiff flex bindings these days. I don’t spend as much time in the park, being more keen to find technical lines off-piste, or rail carves on it. The Cor Pro are a major contender in this category; light, comfortable, solid, well-made, and a decent price.

In your hand, they are very light, clearly scaled down to the bare essentials. The straps look flimsy but fit comfortably and the buckles really hold well. I love the adjustment on the highbacks, it is probably the best out there, so simple and straightforward, it engages you to play around with your lean.

The drive plate is hard yet responsive, definitely not the most comfortable base out there, but the precision offered is excellent. They feel great at speed, charging fast carves long and low, or negotiating difficult off-piste lines.

There are more comfortable bindings out there, but if you can’t argue with the board-connection offered by the Cor, they are very light and clearly well made. I only rode these for 1 day, so I can’t comment on their durability, but I’ve owned some transfers for 2 years and had no issues.”
