When choosing what length of snowboard to buy, there are a few good rules of thumb (check out our own advice on snowboard size here). It’s far from being an exact science, however, and it’s not just giants that would have a blast on the Dupraz D1 6’+.
While it’s much longer than the Dupraz D1 5’5”, it’s actually only two millimetres wider at the waist (a very mainstream 25.8cm, to be exact). The result is that you get a hell of a lot more surface area, particularly at the nose, and – more importantly – one of the longest sidecuts around.

With extended rocker at the nose and camber between the inserts, once you load this thing up on its edge it’ll accelerate at formidable speed. Given that regular waist width, changing edges is quick and easy, so as soon as you find your flow you’ll be rocketing down the groomers.
Get it on an open face after a storm, and that extra-large platform will allow you to part the pow like the Red Sea. With its setback camber profile and carbon-enhanced fibreglass, every turn will feel jam-packed with power.
Naturally when you’re getting something so massive up to speed in a resort, it’s important not to get carried away – we’re betting that nose could do some serious damage. However, when used correctly, the Dupraz D1 6’+ will deliver a riding experience like no other.
