Few brands push the tech side of snowboard bindings as hard as the Rome guys do. For the proof, just check out the Rome Katana, which looks like it might have been dreamed up in a mad scientist’s lab.
However, all that clever stuff comes at a price, and it’s not a good match for everyone’s riding style. Fortunately, Rome caters equally as well for the mid-priced, mid-tech market – and the Rome Crux bindings are the latest addition to the line.
“When you’re really milking a heelside carve, you get the ideal balance between comfort and control”

The Rome Crux features a simpler (but still effective) version of the brand’s signature ‘Asymwrap’ chassis. The metal heelcup doesn’t extend out towards the front of the baseplate on the outside of each foot as it does with the more techy ‘Underwrap’ design, and instead joins the baseplate closer to your heels. This gives you plenty of lateral movement, allowing you to easily shift your weight from the hose to the tail for a surfier ride.
