The name may have changed, but the essence of the Bataleon CT snowboard remains the same; it’s a powder shape that you can have just as much fun with when it hasn’t dumped in weeks.
The Bataleon CT has a relatively soft flex, both through the waist and from end to end. So while you can take this anywhere, it’s not really for those hell-for-leather descents. Instead you should make the most out of its Triple Base Technology by focusing on swooping, surf-like turns.

The nose of the board resembles the back of a spoon; a narrow centrebase runs the length of the board, offering a bit of stability when straightlining, but the rest bends up towards the edges. It parts the pow like nothing else, and feels the good kind of loose on firmer snow.
New for this year are two hollow carbon rods, each placed along a sidewall. These increase the Bataleon CT’s pop power, which thanks to the camber profile was already pretty good for a softer board. Between turns, be sure to get it in the air too.
If snowboarding to you involves a lot of mellow resort riding, with bonus pow days as and when they arrive, then the Bataleon CT would be the ideal weapon.
