Now that the mountain peaks are sufficiently snowy and the temperatures are dropping, Burton Snowboards and host resort LAAX are gearing up for the 12th annual Burton European Open, taking place from January 8 – 15, 2011. The 6*TTR event is the biggest in European snowboarding, showcasing the crème de la crème of international snowboarding and contributing to the progression of the sport with innovative slopestyle courses and a perfect superpipe. Not only this, but the BEO is also the premier breakthrough competition for upcoming riders to kick-start their snowboarding careers..
After excellent results in LAAX the Finnish olympians Peetu Piiroinen and Enni Rukajärvi got their start at the BEO
where top results gained them international attention in the early days of their careers. All riders have the chance to compete for prestigious titles, a piece of the $125,000 USD prize purse and key ranking points for both the TTR as well as the Burton Global Open Series.
