Eye-catching as ever, the Salomon Gypsy returns to further cement its reputation as one of the all-time greats of female freestyle.
“When you take it to the rails, the Salomon Gypsy offers easy travel though even the fiercest of kinks”

For 2017/18 it’s been given a new shape (though it remains a true twin), as well as a couple of tech upgrades. The long, straight section of sidecut has been drastically shortened, with the ‘Quadralizer’ blend of curves filling the gap. Edge hold on firm snow is epic, giving you the confidence to set up for big spins.
When you take it to the rails, the Salomon Gypsy offers easy travel though even the fiercest of kinks thanks to the flat section of base between the feet – then when you want to press out on a box or ledge, rocker sections at the nose and tail have you covered. The edge is pre-bevelled at key points too, upping your margin for error.
This year the Gypsy becomes the first female-specific board to join Salomon’s ‘Classicks’ series. The limited edition version features graphics by team rider and artist Desiree Melancon, as well as supercharged tech that’s normally only found on high-end models like the Salomon Ultimate Ride. If you think you can handle it, it’s one worth sniffing out.
