It would be hard to argue that Lib Tech Skate Banana isn’t a modern classic – it did after all usher in a new era of rockered and then hybrid profiled snowboard design. Love it or hate it, if you’ve ridden a board built in the last decade it’s likely to have been influenced at least a little bit by what Mike Olsen and Pete Saari played around with in 1987, then brought to the market in 2006. Ski based camber snowboard design took some punches and our sport was changed forever.
