Have you ever seen a puppy playing with older dogs? Even through their stoke and excitement you can tell they’re learning, whilst in turn the senior hounds become more playful, happier. Younger.

You get the same vibe watching this – the young pup Ben Ferguson both learning from and inspiring bona fide legends like Danny Davis and Terje Haakonsen, aping their styles and yet at the same time injecting some much needed youthful energy into the Burton line up. Taking cues from some classic styles and techniques, but blending it into what is obviously something very new, fresh and exciting.

In short, this is one of the best major parts of the season so far, and it would have to be something very special indeed to top it. Well, Burton will at least give it their best shot…
