Still haven’t got round to putting your entry together for this year’s Absinthe ‘Can You Cut It?’ editing competition? Well, you better get on it because the deadline for entries (31st Jan) is approaching faster than a pissed off, charging black rhinoceros straight out of Attenborough’s Africa…

Don’t forget that you can win the chance to have your work showcased to thousands of fellow shredders with the winning entry being included on next year’s Absinthe movie. The winner will also get a heap of Absinthe goodies and the top three edits will also receive a pimpin’ watch courtesy of Home.  Here are the first 16 edits to have been submitted – take a look and if you think you can do better, head over to the competition details page, download the footage and logos and give your own edit a go:

We reckon you’ll agree that there are a nice mix of editing styles on showcase here from the loud, punchy and raw to the more subdued and polished. We’ll be posting the next batch of entries on the site in a week’s time so you can check out the most recent competition and maybe even get a sneaky second or third edit in before the final deadline – remember that there’s no limit on the number of entries you can submit.
