Emil Ulsletten stomps cab triple 1260 and switch backside 1440 triple

With this season pretty much wrapped up, we’re only a short summer away from the start of 2013/2014 season, and of course, the build up to the biggest competition in snowboarding. All of the national teams are busy wrapping up their last training sessions before the summer and the Norwegian team, who have been holed up in Northstar recently have been no exception.

If their recent videos are anything to go by, it’s clear that these norsemen mean business. Torgeir Bergrem landed the world’s first backside triple cork 1620 the other week and here’s Emil Ulsletten getting two more triple cork variations down on the very same jump – a cab triple underflip 1260 and a switch backside triple cork 1440 – arguably the most technical triple in the book and the trick that fellow Norwegian Torstein Horgmo unleashed at this years X Games Big Air in Aspen (and claimed the gold medal with no less). And lets not forget Stale Sandbech, who also has a frontside and backside triple cork up his sleeve.

We’ve always known the Norwegians were a force to be reckoned with in slopestyle but with so many of them dialling in the now not-so-elusive triple this side of summer, will they be unstoppable come Sochi 2014?
