Patagonia ripper Alex Yoder carves up some transition in Jackson Hole in this surfy new edit.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: carving is so hot right now. Whether it’s a resurgence in popularity of demonstrating solid edge control, or just the fact that having an appreciation of your roots is back in a big way, it’s not difficult to miss the fact that carving is all over snowboarding right now.
From Dylan Gamache’s revert carves in the Yawgoons edits, to the recent one starring Ben Ferguson on a fishtail, carving and surfy style is making a solid comeback.
Alex Yoder brings some great style and solid railing in this new edit shot in Jackson Hole, where he seeks out and rips transition and piste on an old-school directional powder board. There may not be have been any new powder in Jackson Hole for the past 6 weeks, but it didn’t stop Alex from having a blast on his board.
The edit is beautifully shot, with a great vibe, and it got us really exited to lay out some turns ourselves.
