While Cervinia might not be able to claim a glacier, with slopes rising up to 3,480 meters the resort is still able to welcome mountain revellers as early as mid October. Granted this might be a restricted area, but it should definitely be enough to wake up your snow legs. Come December the pistes are sure to be covered, making it a great pre Christmas shred option without the expense of neighbouring Zermatt.
