Called it… After we suggested that the Ride Timeless was due for a comeback, here it is. With a unique aluminium topsheet, this one will be as easy to spot in 2016/17 as it was in its heyday.
The directional, tapered shape and profile make this one all about charging, with a mellow rocker section towards the nose that’ll make it just as easy to point in the pow as on the piste. In fact, Ride reckon that this will go as fast as even the most practiced hellman would dare – and faster still – thanks to tech borrowed from the hard-booted racers.
That topsheet isn’t just for show; it’s designed to smoothen out high-speed rides. While you won’t be able to manipulate the edge-to-edge flex as much as with other boards, it’ll maintain the solid foundation needed to really push your limits on the straights.
All other aspects of the Ride Timeless’ construction are built with speed and stability in mind, from the carbon in the sidewalls and fibreglass to the extra-light edges and rapid sintered base. Plenty of reasons, then, to welcome back a revamped classic. It was, as they say, about time.
