Saturday. Not only everyone’s favourite day of the week, but everyone’s favourite snowboard as well. Well not everyone’s but you get the drift.

The Ride Saturday is an all mountain cruiser built for chicks who like to turn the whole mountain into their personal playground. From park to piste to powder, the Saturday can handle it all without breaking a (metaphorical) sweat.

“Carbon stringers run underneath your bindings to make it more responsive edge to edge without sacrificing the overall softer flex”

The age-old debate of camber vs rocker rages on, so why not have the best of both worlds? The camber between the feet means you can spring load the board, so you get way more effortless pop when you’re wanting to jump around. It also keeps the board more stable on piste, especially when you start picking up speed.

The rockered nose and tail make the board way more mellow and stop it from being so catchy. They also give you that extra float you miss out on when riding powder on a traditional camber board.

Despite it’s all mountain chops, the Saturday can be seen as a real freestyle machine. It boasts a twin shape so you can work on your spins without worrying so much about landing. To add some extra snap to your ollie, it has two carbon strips running length ways down the board. Expect to be getting some serious hang time.

Tester’s Verdict

Stella PenttiWhitelines

“I had the pleasure to ride this Ride board on Spring Break back in May, while blessed with some epic snow conditions up at Hintertux Glacier. There was shit tons of fresh snow, so we had powder for days and the pistes were nice and smooth too.

“Well, the Ride Saturday was super stable, and catching an edge wasn’t of any issue either”

Carving through the pistes and charging down the slopes is something I truly enjoy doing, and it’s become more or less my way of defining if an all-mountain board can be trusted or not. Happy to report then that the Ride Saturday was super stable, and catching an edge wasn’t much of an issue either.

This isn’t the board I’d choose for powder days, but then again it isn’t made for that either. The Ride Saturday is an all-rounder that works really well for linking your turns on the pistes, and I don’t see any reason for it to not be great for riding park as well considering its true twin shape and medium flex.

I’d definitely give this another go. Maybe take it to the park next time and see if it works as well there as it does on the piste.”
