If you thought the Berzerker couldn’t get any better, then think again. The Berzerker has been under the knife to give it a bit of a mix up for this season, the bods at Ride have tested vigorously to make some small changes that will yield some big results.

They’ve added a small amount of taper to the board, to increase the float when you’re taking it off the beaten track. The tip curvature has also been reduced slightly to increase the speed of your edge to edge response.

“Double Impact plates underneath the inserts add durability where it’s needed without increasing the weight crazy amounts”

The long setback camber section is gonna keep you ripping and gripping on piste, and you’ll be smashing through all the crud when the snow isn’t in top condition. The big rockered nose will keep you surfing the white wave with ease when it’s been spewing.

Carbon Slimerods add snap to the tip and tail adding to the already insanely poppy feel of the board. Double Impact plates underneath the inserts add durability where it’s needed without increasing the weight crazy amounts. They also absorb some of the chatter and act as a dampener alongside Ride’s specially designed Slimewalls.

The Berzerker is a board for riders who are ready to drop kick the whole mountain. If you wanna cliff bomb, euro carve, booter shoot and destroy everything in your path, then this is definitely a board you wanna check out.

Tester’s Verdict

“Maybe the most aptly named snowboard I rode this season. I was whooping and hollering through the pow kicking up a storm and throwing myself into anything that looked deep enough. It’s Jake Blauvelt’s signature board, so you know the kind of riding it’s capable of.

The Berzerker is insanely agile, I rode about 200 metres straight off the rear foot and never felt like I was about to fall off the back of it. You can push that tail into every turn and drop and it just braces and throws you back to the centre of the board.

These aren’t the kind of boards I normally go for. I’m either riding a true-twin all-mountain style deck or diving headfirst into the powder/carving quivers. The Berzerker genuinely made me rethink things. When the snow’s good, it’s an absolute blinder. When the snow’s bad, it’s got enough camber and reinforcements to keep the ride solid and smooth.

It’s not going to be your go-to park board, but when you consider how well it rides off-piste you might find yourself tempted to throw in a couple of signature Blauvelt methods. Or, as I did, brush the end of the board with your fingertips and get served a main course sized portion of powder on the landing. Still, the moral of that story here is that the Berzerker will push you to your limits in the back and side countries and have you laughing like a kid the whole time.”
